Purpose:
Quantum Improvements Consulting (QIC) is a dynamic and innovative services company dedicated to creating cutting-edge human performance support solutions that revolutionize the way people train. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Developer to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will bring significant expertise in developing and optimizing mobile and web applications using Drupal, Maui, and similar platforms. You will play an essential role in creating high-performance, scalable, and secure applications. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a passionate and dedicated team.
Contract Details:
- Contract Length: 3-4 months with possible extension
- Anticipated workload: up to 40 hours/week
- Location: QIC’s offices in Orlando, FL (remote work will be considered)
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience $60 /hr
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain mobile and web applications using Drupal.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate into current projects.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen.
- Proven experience as a Software Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing mobile and web applications built with Drupal.
- Proficiency in PHP, C#, and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks.
- Strong understanding of database management systems and query languages (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
- Familiarity with software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering quality work under pressure.
- Adaptable and flexible, able to quickly adjust to changing requirements and unexpected challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in integrating third-party APIs and services.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and compliance.
Work Environment:
This position works in a typical office or home office environment and includes using a computer (6-8 hours per day), telephone, and web-based video communications.
