What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laser Set-Up/Operator position at Quantum Technical Services, Inc?
Equipment manufacturer looking for an above-average Laser Set-Up/Operator that is responsible for set up, load programs, operation, and maintaining of a Mazak Optiplex CO2 CNC Laser to produce parts using setup instructions, shop orders, and prints.
Laser Set-Up/Operator Qualifications required:
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing-related education and/or work experience operating cutting laser.
- Blueprint reading, shop mathematics and the ability to read a micrometer and caliper required.
- Experience with nesting parts using nesting software a plus, Radan software preferred.
- Experience with Mazak Laser
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 25 pounds of force frequently.
- Possesses productivity/time management skills
- Possesses Functional and Technical skills including reading blueprints
- Possesses cooperation and teamwork skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Operates and navigates in a windows based computer environment.
- Operating heavy equipment including sheet lifters, forklifts, and overhead cranes
- Understands start-up and shut down for laser machines.
