Overview
At Flathead Lake Lodge (FLL) in Bigfork, Montana we are opening a new seasonal restaurant open to the public from Dec 5th-March 29th, Quarter Circle, Wednesday-Saturday. Our restaurant this year will be serving Spanish-inspired food and drinks.
We are seeking a dedicated front of house employee to server a both a food runner/busser and server to join our lively, family-oriented, F&B team. These roles play are crucial in ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This position requires a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer service within a fast-paced environment.
Position: Food Runner/Busser/Server
- Part-time; Wednesday-Saturday Availability
- Hourly Wage plus tip-pool share
- Attire: Black dress shirt (provided), black belt, black non-slip dress shoes, black dress pants, black apron (provided)
- Start Date: February 5th, 2025
- End Date: April 4th, 2025
- Meals: Family meals provided before every shift.
- Shift Times: 3:30/4:30pm-9:30pm
- Restaurant Hours: 5pm-9pm
Duties
Accountable for, but not limited to:
- Embracing and representing the FLL Core Values in all situations; fun, willing, durable, effective, genuine, and selfless.
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
- Ensure all food items are presented neatly and correctly.
- Communicate with kitchen and head servers to ensure accurate and prompt delivery of orders.
- Assist with kitchen duties as needed, including preparation and plating
- Clear tables of dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils after guests leave.
- Clean and reset tables for the next guests, ensuring they are properly sanitized.
- Refill water glasses and provide guests with additional utensils, napkins, or condiments as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including floors and restrooms.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining areas before and after service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and address any guest needs or concerns promptly.
- Work collaboratively with the restaurant team to ensure efficient service.
- Assist with other duties as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Works with Front of House Manager to relay the best service possible while meeting the guests’ dining needs
- Works with Front of House Manager to execute desired service style for restaurant, bar, and lounge.
- Responsible for portraying a first-class service and hospitality experience in a genuine western setting while adhering to restaurant dress code policies
- Conducts hourly scheduled bathroom checks and maintenance while cleaning and restocking as necessary.
- Helps with maintenance of sidewalks and entryways such as clearing, shoveling snow, and salting.
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks (i.e., taking out the garbage, mopping, sweeping, dishes, etc.) in the restaurant, bar, and lounge
- Assists in all laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing laundry items while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Adheres to given fine dining dress code policy, cleanliness, and professional presentation.
- Must be capable of being on your feet for up to 8 hours a day, as well as lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- This position reports to the Front of House Manager and Executive Chef.
Experience- Not required, but taken into consideration
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required.
- Experience with bussing and banquet services is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented environment.
