JOB SUMMARY:
As the Senior Key Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a high-profile account within the medical device industry. This individual contributor role involves independently managing relationships, driving revenue and margin growth, and identifying new business opportunities within the account’s umbrella. While you will take the lead on your account, you will have support from cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure success. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to work strategically toward business goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Account Contact: Serve as the lead point of contact for all matters related to this account, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
Customer Relationship Development: Build and nurture long-lasting relationships with key account stakeholders. Gain a deep understanding of account’s requirements to ensure satisfaction and alignment with Quasar’s capabilities.
Revenue and Margin Management: Develop and manage revenue goals for assigned account. Construct strategies to expand revenue opportunities and optimize margins.
Business Development: Create and maintain a robust pipeline of deals and opportunities to ensure continuous growth of new business within your assigned key account. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive long-term success. Research and recognize the account’s business strategy, future product plans, expansion activities, and align them with Quasar’s strategy.
Client-Focused Solutions: Communicate mechanisms that will increase customer satisfaction, including but not limited to business reviews on a quarterly and/or annual basis.
Forecasting and Reporting: Maintain a monthly revenue forecast for each assigned customer, reporting on progress and identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
Territory Travel: Plan and conduct regular face-to-face meetings. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time both international and domestic.
Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with domestic and international (EMEA ASIA-PAC) internal departments (e.g., Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure that customer needs are being met, and that Quasar’s commitments are successfully fulfilled.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or relevant field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Contract Manufacturing, Medical Device, or related field preferred
- Sales/ Sales leadership experience in the medical devices or CDMO space with a strong industry network preferred
- Experience with complex deals and contract negotiation
- Strong financial acumen
- Proven experience in managing key accounts and projects, with a strong track record of success
- Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
