What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift CNC Operator position at QubicaAmf?
CNC Operators use CNC cutting machines to slice through wood, plastic, or other materials to create a wide variety of finished goods. They are responsible for loading raw materials into the CNC cutter, monitoring its performance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. The CNC machine operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of manufacturing products.
Essential Functions

- Perform typical CNC cutting operations.
- Select proper cutting programs and proper fixtures.
- Establish proper stop locations and adjust the blade focal point.
- Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
- Perform prescribed maintenance as required.
- Perform all dimensional inspections.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
- May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
- Load and unload raw materials and equipment.
- Set up and calibrate accessories and equipment.
- Operate a forklift.
- Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Supervise machines as they run and adjust as needed.
- Inspect the finished product to ensure it meets the required specifications.
