Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, customer service, and retail operations. As a Florist, you will be responsible for creating beautiful floral arrangements, assisting customers with their selections, and maintaining the overall presentation of the shop. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions including weddings, funerals, and special events.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs.
- Maintain inventory of flowers and supplies; stock shelves and ensure products are fresh and appealing.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions and manage cash handling accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the shop is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Stay informed about current trends in floral design and e-commerce to enhance product offerings.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their preferences and provide personalized recommendations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Florist or in a related field is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with retail math for inventory management and sales tracking is beneficial.
- Knowledge of lawn care or gardening can enhance product knowledge and customer interactions.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional language skills are advantageous.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.93 - $15.11 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
