- Job Location: Morristown, New Jersey, United States.
- Contract Period: The initial contract is for 12 months, with good possibilities for further extension.
- Remote Work Options: Can work remotely from North America (Locals to EST-zone preferred).
Position Overview and Key Responsibilities: The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of complex IT projects. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects. The Technical Project Manager will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including technical teams, business teams, and vendors, to drive the successful implementation of strategic IT initiatives.
Deliverables:
- Demonstrate excellent domain knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance to understand and analyze the business needs of the Individual Customer and Group Customer policies.
- Detailed knowledge of P&C Insurance applications and Insurtech like Guidewire and its integration mechanisms, and Secure Data Migrations for successful transformation from Legacy systems to Modern systems.
- To oversee end-to-end Secure SDLC, quality assurance processes, ensuring adherence to coding standards, implementation of best practices, and performing Value creation and KM activities.
- Develop functional specifications in the form of User Stories, process flows, use cases, and data mappings leveraging tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Advanced MS Excel or PowerBI, etc.
- Ensure process improvement, and compliance, participate in technical design discussions, and review technical documents.
- Experience in leading business tracks, requirement elicitation workshops, writing user stories, UI mock-ups, product models, workflow processes, forms, rating
- Experience in integrating legacy applications with modern applications like Guidewire / Duck Creek / similar.
- Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity: He/she should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to the business problem
- Ability to work in the global delivery model and be a liaison between the client and software development team across different geographies
- Experience in working in a fast-paced Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and multiple stakeholder environments
Key Qualifications for this Role
- 12-15 years of experience in Project management
- Proven track record of successfully managing IT projects, specifically in the P&C insurance domain.
- Experience working with Guidewire applications, such as PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
- Experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter integration with external systems and tools.
- Strong knowledge of insurance business processes, workflows, and best practices
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) are preferred
