Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Skid Steer Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating skid steers and other heavy machinery on construction sites. The Skid Steer Operator will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the successful completion of projects, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
Duties
- Operate skid steer loaders for various tasks including grading, loading, and transporting materials.
- Assist in the operation of additional equipment such as water trucks, dump trucks, bulldozers, graders, and loaders as needed.
- Perform site preparation tasks including building and paving activities.
- Conduct horizontal drilling operations when required.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and basic mechanical repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively and safely.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the construction site.
Skills
- Proficient in operating skid steers and other heavy machinery.
- Experience with water truck, dump truck, bulldozer, grader operation, and loader operation is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on equipment.
- Ability to build and pave as part of construction activities.
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team setting.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety on the job site.
