What You’ll Do
- Provide hands-on engineering support for planning, designing, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and load balancing devices.
- Identify and troubleshoot ports and protocols to maintain seamless and secure communication.
- Engineer and support the integration of new applications into cloud environments, as well as transition existing applications into virtualized/cloud platforms.
- Guide end-to-end migration events, from cloud infrastructure acquisition to successful deployment.
- Conduct technical analysis to prepare workloads for migration into next-generation environments.
- Virtualize legacy systems, including Physical to Virtual (P2V) and Virtual to Virtual (V2V) workload conversions.
- Respond swiftly to technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and peak efficiency.
- Leverage machine image snapshotting and image libraries for operational continuity.
- Support customers in utilizing APIs, Command Line Interfaces (CLI), and cloud service management consoles for optimal performance.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 5 years of hands-on network engineering experience, with a strong understanding of physical and virtual network infrastructures.
- One or more of the following certifications(required at contract start):
- Cloud
- Security
- Network
- CCNA
- Desire to integrate cloud services into enterprise environments and executing complex cloud migration strategies.
