Job Overview
Automotive service administrative assistant provides essential administrative support to the service department of an automotive dealership, managing customer appointments, processing service orders, maintaining repair records, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring smooth operations by coordinating with technicians and service advisors, all while prioritizing excellent customer service
Duties
- Answering phone calls and scheduling service appointments
- Greeting customers in person and addressing their concerns
- Providing updates on vehicle repair status
- Handling customer complaints and resolving issues
- Creating and processing service orders
- Entering customer and vehicle information into the dealership management system
- Maintaining accurate repair records and documentation
- Preparing repair estimates and invoices
- Collecting payments and managing accounts receivable
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport with customers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic understanding of automotive repair processes and terminology is beneficial
- Maintaining filing systems for service records and customer information
- Ordering office supplies and managing inventory
- Generating reports on service metrics as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
