Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures with precision and care.
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transportation of specimens to maintain integrity.
- Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during the collection process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and laboratory procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate specimen processing and timely results.
- Stay updated on laboratory techniques, medical terminology, and best practices in phlebotomy.
- Document all interactions and procedures accurately in compliance with regulatory standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in phlebotomy or a related clinical laboratory role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, specimen collection processing, and physiology.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and patient service best practices is essential.
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in various settings.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and healthcare teams.
