Account Manager
Summary
The role of the Account Manager serves as the main point of contact for assigned clients/ projects ensuring that the sales to expand in short and long term. Some key responsibilities include maintaining a thorough understanding of assigned customers’ strategy and buying behavior, developing successful sales strategies (including working with other sales internally) and building long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders. A key objective for the National Account Manager is to grow and drive revenue. Clients will be across food service and retail.
Essential Duties
1. Manage a portfolio of accounts assigned to you and develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales and GP$ growth
2. Report all call results and market researches under account profiles company’s CRM Salesforce
where sales leadership can view progress
3. Coordinate with various internal departments to ensure that the project or/and customer requests
are handled appropriately and in a timely manner, troubleshoot and resolve service issues and concerns.
4. Regularly reviewing sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
5. Conduct online or at sight meetings with customer across US
6. Purchasing activities; negotiation on price, terms, specs, etc to fulfill customer’s needs
7. Meet quarterly goals and KPIs set by supervisor
8. Supporting sales to US broad liners working with contracted broker
9. Run profit and loss analysis for each project to submit the pricing to prospects
10. Check regularly on accounts receivables to make sure all accounts are up to date in payments. For accounts, who are behind, address customers and set plans to make sure payments are paid.
11. Support Sales Team and Company Initiatives.
12. Participate in Food Shows and Sales Trainings for our customers if needed.
13. Travel to Headquarters for Sales Meetings a few times per year.
Working Hours, Working style
Daily Start Time: 6:00 AM - 8:30 AM
Daily End Time: 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Mandatory Daily Working Hours: 8 net hours (unless vacation or sick leave is used)
Lunch Break: Must be taken between 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM, with a minimum of 30 minutes
Basically remote, with occasional direct visits to customer sites.

Salary/Benefit
$70-120K. In addition to the bonus ($10,000-24,000/year), there is a small incentive for sales of certain products. (0.8-0.9% commission on new sales of applicable products* for several months up to 2 years, etc.)

Qualifications
- Fluency in English required
- Japanese is preferred.
- Experience in outside sales of processed seafood and Asian food products is preferred.
- Proactive with the ability to visit end users.
- Use of personal vehicle during sales.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for customer visits.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Travel to headquarters approximately twice a year.
