Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Solutions Engineer in 3PL warehousing and logistics to join our team. This role will support the optimization of operational processes, increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency across various departments. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in solution design, process optimization, and continuous improvement within supply chain operations. The focus will be on utilizing engineering principles, data analysis, and lean methodologies to identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives aimed at increasing operational performance.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Optimization: Develop and implement warehouse and logistics solutions that optimize space, labor, and processes while meeting customer requirements.
- Time Studies & Labor Optimization: Conduct time and motion studies to identify inefficiencies and establish labor standards for operational excellence.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Technology Integration: Work with WMS, automation, and robotics solutions to enhance operational capabilities.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Develop models to support decision-making.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with operations, sales, and IT teams to design and implement customized logistics solutions for clients.
- Customer Engagement: Participate in RFP responses, solution presentations, and site visits to support business development efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial) – REQUIRED.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a 3PL, warehousing, or supply chain environment.
- Experience with time studies, labor standard development, and continuous improvement projects.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data modeling, workflow analysis, and process mapping.
- Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with WMS, LMS, and automation technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in building pricing models.
- Expertise in challenging inconsistencies.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Experience in automation, robotics, and advanced warehouse technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
