Job Title: Senior Maintenance Technician
Job Description: This position will diagnose and repair problems with all production equipment and will also assist with maintenance of the building and facility systems.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for servicing and routine maintenance of the chilled water system, compressed air system, and HVAC equipment
- Determine need for repairs for machinery and equipment, requisition needed parts, and plan for and complete the needed repairs
- Lubricate machines and equipment as needed
- Assist with the installation of new machines
- Maintain building and surrounding grounds
- Use all proper safety devices (i.e., Lock Out Tag Out)
- Maintain a constant alert for hazardous conditions and correct them or bring them to the attention of the department lead person
- Maintain compliance with ISO and all other documented procedures
- Lead preventative maintenance requirements on all equipment
- Work with all voltages of electricity, especially 480V
Requirements:
- High School or vocational school graduate required and special courses in electrical or other skills listed above preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience required, including time spent on general plant and machine maintenance.
- Basic PLC/Ladder Logic troubleshooting experience required; Allen Bradley RS Logics preferred.
- Experience with die cast equipment or injection molding environment a plus but not required.
- Journeyman/Certified Electrician preferred.
- Proficient with electrical distribution and control systems. PLC knowledge a plus.
- Proficient with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Basic machine shop and mechanical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Good interpersonal skills required; will work with all levels of company including customers.
- Demonstrated excellent attendance record.
- Intermediate computer skills and Microsoft Excel and word.
- Ability to complete written forms and read basic written instructions.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to use your hands in a skillful, coordinated way to grasp and manipulate objects and demonstrate small, precise movements.
- Must be able to extend arms to place and remove products in workspace.
- Required to stand for 8 hours or more.
- Must lift 50lbs or more.
- Must have 20/30 vision or better, and/or have corrective glasses to meet this requirement.
- The ability to work in a hot environment that may be reach to 100 degrees or higher.
- Ability to work in a very loud and noisy work environment.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment which includes, designated uniform, steel toe shoes, gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses, and face mask.
Shift: 6am-2:30pm – Monday-Friday, willing to work overtime when needed.
