What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cash Audit Associate position at QuickChek?
The Cash Control Associate is responsible for investigating and verifying Cash & Sales reports for District Leaders and the Security Department, identifying cash overage and/or shortage discrepancies, and reconciling weekly reports.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily deposit verification
- Perform daily logging of mail
- Perform Cash & Sales verification of coupons, lottery, money orders, voids, credit cards, armored car pick-ups, car washes, bottle deposits, and EBT
- Investigate large overages/shortages before finalization of Cash & Sales
- Communicate with District Leaders and the Security Department to notify them of large overages/shortages, cash variances, and late deposits
- Work with banks to research deposit adjustments and validations
- Prepare weekly reconciliation reports for lottery, credit cards, money orders, and EBT
- Must be able to respond quickly to field inquiries and maintain professional contact with all Team Members
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to meet critical deadlines and communicate effectively within all levels of the organization
- Must be highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and efficiently
- Must be able to work independently
- Possess the desire and ability to cross-train in other areas of the Finance Department
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills and data entry experience is required
- Knowledge of QuickChek Cash & Sales procedures is preferred
- Knowledge of or ability to learn QuickChek’s accounting applications.
- Proven ability to use Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year
