What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Accountant position at QuickStaff?
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
This position requires a 4-year degree in Accounting, a clear drug screen, and a background check.
- Analyze and prepare documentation, financial statements, and reports to control and account for the use of funding.
- Prepare standard journal entries.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Make daily bank deposits.
- Enter and record daily tenant payments.
- Code all invoices for accounts payable entry and process daily check runs.
- Process recurring monthly payments.
- Process utility payments and consumption.
- Balance utility expense and consumption monthly.
- Process Section 8 Mid-month payments.
- Balance Section 8 Pre-list and process Section 8 checks monthly.
- File check stubs / backup in vendor files immediately after the check run is processed.
- Prepare the previous year's vendor files for microfilming.
- Perform accounting, financial, and / or administrative tasks as needed.
- Assist the Controller with the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations reports.
