Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant/EFDA to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, and help provide efficient and quality dental care to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare
- Take digital dental x-rays
- Maintain accurate patient records
Requirements:
- Completion of a dental assistant program or equivalent training
- X-Ray certification preferred
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Open Dental but not required
- Understanding of medical imaging techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding
This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
