Quijano Law, a well-established immigration law firm serving the Atlanta metro area since 2013, is highly trusted for our longstanding commitment to clients and excellence. We are seeking an experienced immigration attorney with litigation experience before EOIR, BIA, and the federal judiciary. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of immigration law, including practice, procedure, and case management, along with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Conducting immigration consultations and advising on minor criminal matters.
Drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery requests, proposed orders, appeals, and other legal documents.
Representing clients in EOIR proceedings, including Master Calendar, Individual, and Bond hearings, as well as litigating cases in Georgia courts and EOIR jurisdictions.
Managing all aspects of immigration and minor criminal cases.
Communicating with clients, courts, detention centers, and government agencies.
Participating in the firm’s marketing and business development efforts.
Requirements
- Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.
- Minimum of 12 months of immigration law experience.
- Proficiency with the INA, 8 CFR, Federal Rules of Evidence, and relevant practice manuals.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general computing.
- Ability to work on-site in the Norcross/Duluth area.
- Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a corporate office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
Experience with criminal and family law matters is a plus.
