The accounting manager will play a key role in helping QuikQ improve processes and systems to make the related activities more repeatable and reliable.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will bring a variety of skills such as technical accounting, process improvements, and an aptitude for systems and technology. The accounting manager will be responsible for all general ledger functions including inventory, accounts payable, journal entries, and reconciliations. This position will also be responsible for supervision of one or more employees. The accounting manager will prepare all sales & use tax filings as well as any other required filings with governmental entities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an intimate knowledge of our products, system capabilities, & reporting
- Perform research and analysis to ensure the company is in compliance with GAAP
- Process or review all accounts payable transactions
- Record journal entries and prepare monthly reporting
- Prepare or review cash and other balance sheet reconciliations
- Process sales, use, and other tax filings
- Prepare deliverables for outside tax or audit requirements
- Reconcile credit card activity
- Monitor cash and working capital usage
- Process purchase orders for equipment, prepare equipment for shipping, and maintain inventory reporting
- Organize tradeshow activities and complete registrations, etc.
- Assist in preparing material for board meetings
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Manage and provide supervision to one or more employees
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Master’s degree viewed favorably
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3-5 years of applicable professional experience
- CPA or actively pursuing CPA preferred
- Prior fuel card/payment experience is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite preferred

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
- Ability to effectively interact with and relate to audiences of all levels

- Ability to solve problems using data from multiple sources
- Ability to lift boxes up to 60 lbs. as needed
- Able to retain and protect confidential material
