What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Exam Proctor - Quincy College position at Quincy College?
POSITION SUMMARY: The nursing exam proctor will monitor nursing students taking exams at Quincy College. The Exam Proctor performs duties including student identification, admission, seating, and monitoring of examinees, in adherence with the Academic Division of Nursing at Quincy College policies. The exam proctor performs duties relating to preparation of testing rooms in advance of testing, taking attendance, directing students regarding exam procedures prior to the start of the exam. The proctor must be available for flexible hours between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The proctor may also be asked to assist with other duties related to the Nursing Division.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain a safe and calm exam environment.
- Check identification before testing and follow exam seating protocol.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all exam procedures.
- Troubleshoot or refer to faculty student login to ExamSoft challenges.
- Monitor students during exam sessions to ensure a secure exam environment.
- Control Admission to and from the exam room/computer laboratory.
- Strictly adhere to Quincy College policies.
- Report suspected irregularities in a timely manner to examinee faculty.
- Be punctual for all scheduled shifts.
- Complete appropriate paperwork for various exams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous test proctoring experience preferred.
- Commitment to proctor exams for the entire semester.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule - various days; various hours 8:00am- 8:00pm (i.e., non-course exams HESI A2 Admission Exam).
- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multicultural setting.
- Commitment to meeting the needs of our diverse student body.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
- Demonstrated organization skills
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)preferred

TRAVEL: Occasional local travel may be required
