The Inside Sales Specialists primary role is to sell service replacement engines, support customer parts / engine needs, and build customer relationships. This position makes recommendations to customers which requires extensive product knowledge for both engines / parts.
Wages
Starting wage will depend on experience and education.
55,000 - $65,000 annually, plus commissions
Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities of a Inside Sales Specialist include the following.
- Sales service replacement engines by assessing customer needs and providing solutions.
- Makes sure orders are entered and expedited to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Builds customer relationships to enhance the customer experience.
- Promotes monthly promotions from Perkins or company when communicating with customers.
- Responsible for processing service replacement engine sales orders from the internet, email, and phone calls.
- Prepares quotations for customers requesting pricing and availability.
- Needs extensive technical knowledge to perform Parts and Engine lookup for customers needing assistance.
- Handles customer problems in a concerned, courteous, professional and expeditious manner.
- Follows order entry, invoicing, credit, payment, return, and customer service procedures.
- Maintains knowledge regarding products and manufacturer offerings.
- Maintains OE and PO log. Performs follow-up on open OEs and POs to ensure timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.
- Actively pursues opportunities to increase product and industry knowledge through brand websites, literature, and training.
- Other duties as assigned.
