INTERNAL OPENING
To be considered for this position, Quinn’s employees need to have successfully completed their probationary period and have been in their current role for at least 90 days. In addition, candidates may not be currently under disciplinary action.
The primary purpose of the Pools Assistant Manager is to assist in the management of the pools department by providing daily support to the pools manager and supervision of pools team members as needed. This is a working management position with the expectation that the selected candidate will ultimately acquire the same level of knowledge that the Pools Manager has. The Assistant Manager supervises direct reports and will act as Pools Manager in the absence of the Manager.
Candidates must be willing and able to work 5 shifts per week, both day and night shifts. It is expected that the AM will cover shifts when needed and this includes both day and evening shifts.
Essential Job Functions:
This is a working manager position. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for working alongside the Pools Manager on all projects as needed. In addition, the candidate must be able to perform all PSA 1 and PSA 2 duties.
✓Strong support for the Pools Manager on personnel issues:
• Supervision of quality of work performed by PSAs.
• Assisting in the preparation and delivery of performance reviews.
• Holds team members accountable for meeting quality expectations.
• Addresses minor disciplines problems with team members; documentation of performance issues;
reports/collaborates with Manager and Employee Development on more serious issues.
• Participates in interviewing and hiring.
• Responsible for the successful onboarding of all new employees in the department.
• Train/inform pools team of changes to protocol
• Assist team members with decision making for guest issues/concerns
• Conducting 1:1's with pools team members
• Scheduling and making necessary adjustments in OS
✓Additional responsibilities:
• PSA 2 level of job knowledge (see specific responsibilities)
• Possess the ability to answer any and all Guest questions, calls, or emails; knows whom to report to
when Management is needed.
• Assist teammates when a decision concerning Guest needs come up.
• Composing emails on behalf of the pools department; composing department 5:15
• Assist with the Pools 411 site including maintenance and updates
• Attend Monthly Leadership Meetings
• Keeps track of Lost and Found
• Composes Review Material to share with Pools LT Team.
• Strong knowledge and ability to operate Opera functions (booking, moving, cancelling, refunding, and
billing issues) and can train PSAs in Opera.
• What with Large Party Requests/Books in Opera/Answers Guests’ calls and Emails.
• Perform Refunds/Billing Tasks/Night Audit in Opera.
• Release Day Swim Inventory on the 1st of the Month.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge / Education:
• Documented/verifiable past experience in a leadership role.
• Prefer knowledge of Quinn’s Hot Springs Resort pools
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook,
and Excel.
