Job Description: Our technology company is seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager to oversee and guide our software development projects. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in project management within the software development sector, with a particular focus on managing Java-based projects. This role requires an individual who is adept at driving high-volume, low-latency application development projects to successful completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Experience in planning, execution, and closing of software development projects.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven working experience as a project manager in the software development sector, with a strong preference for experience in managing Java-based projects.
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Trello).
- PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology, Scrum frameworks, and Sprint planning.
