What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Transcriptionist -Transcription position at Quinte Health?
Required
- Post-secondary education in Medical Secretary/Medical Transcriptionist or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Previous experience as a Medical Dicta Typist, is essential.
- Proven word processing skills, essential to meet established standards for accuracy and speed.
- Must be able to accept direction and work with minimum supervision.
- Must have satisfactory work performance in present position.
- Must have previous proven good attendance record.
- Graduate of a Medical Terminology Course.
- Successful candidates must perform satisfactorily on a transcription test prior to being confirmed, unless they have known performance in Quinte Health Transcription.
- For internal candidates, disciplinary and attendance records will be considered.
