Quintus, Inc. is a contract manufacturer with a proven history in the production of composite products for a variety of applications and industries. The Quality Manager position is for a professional who will contribute to the organization’s success by improving processes and systems, identifying and meeting customer needs, reducing costs and assuring a high-quality product. The applicant is self-driven with a multi project focus and willing to work with the engineering department and production personnel for effective quality assurance and control.
The Quality Manager is responsible for:
· Formulates quality assurance policies and procedures.
· Reviews and assists in the implementation of production and engineering documentation.
· Conducts training on quality assurance concepts and tools.
· Interfaces with all other engineering functions within the organization, with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues.
· Performs quality engineering work to evaluate manufacturing processes or performance improvement projects for optimization (IQOQPQ, Control Plans, PFMEAs).
· Serves as lead auditor for internal auditing program delegating and performing audits.
· Acts as lead interface for external audits from 3rd party auditors and customers.
· Serves as corrective and preventative action (CAPA) lead to effectively resolving internal and external nonconformities and findings.
· Serves as a calibration coordinator to ensure proper compliance with NIST and customer requirements.
· Perform and delegates in process, final, and 1st article inspections.
· Willing to take on other tasks as needed.
Education and Work Requirements:
· Required:
o Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Quality Management or Quality Engineering role in the aerospace and/or medical fields.
o Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and is able to work in a small team environment.
o Experience with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or AS9100.
o Experience with verification and validation processes such as AQPQ, IQOQPQ, PFMEA, Control Plans.
o Experience performing 1st article inspections on mechanical assemblies.
o Experience with performing calibrations.
o Excellent computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
o Must be a U.S. Citizen, required by customer contracts.
o Must live in Arizona.
o Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
o In person work only, no remote work.
· Preferred:
o Bachelor’s degree in engineering, applied statistics, or quality.
o Auditor certifications (ISO9001, ISO13485, or AS9100)
o GD&T experience.
o CMM experience.
