Position Purpose
The BHS BSW/LSW is a professional who works with a interdisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, psychiatrists, activities therapists and other disciplines in the overall treatment plans of patients. Coordinates age appropriate therapeutic and educational programming. Provides direct discharge planning services to patients and their families.
Position Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from and approved CSWE college or university required
Experience:
Two years post-graduate in a clinical (or comparable) setting.
Licenses/Certificates:
Mississippi Licensed Social Worker
Working Conditions:
Physical facilities are clean, well lit, heated and ventilated. Periods of stress created by fluctuating patient census and acuity.
