Personal & Small Group Trainer for Adults and Youth
Overview: Lake Quivira is seeking a motivated, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic Personal Trainer to provide individual and small group fitness training to both adults and youth. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing personal fitness programs that cater to diverse age groups, abilities, and goals, including weight management, strength building, sports performance, and overall health improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Training and Instruction:
o Develop personalized fitness programs for individual clients based on their goals, fitness levels, and any specific health needs.
o Conduct small group fitness training for youth and adults.
o Educate clients on proper exercise techniques, nutrition, and lifestyle changes.
o Adjust and modify fitness plans as clients progress, ensuring continual challenge and improvement.
• Client Support:
o Provide ongoing motivation, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to clients.
o Monitor clients’ progress and provide regular feedback.
o Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients during workouts.
• Youth Focus:
o Design and implement personal fitness programs for children and adolescents, ensuring age-appropriate exercises.
o Emphasize the importance of physical activity, healthy habits, and sportsmanship.
o Foster a fun and engaging environment to keep youth clients motivated.
• Health and Safety:
o Ensure all exercises are performed with proper form to reduce the risk of injury.
o Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workout environment.
o Stay current with fitness and wellness trends, certifications, and best practices.
• Administrative Tasks:
o Track client progress and provide reports or summaries.
o Promote personal training services to potential clients.
o Maintain accurate records of client schedules, goals, and feedback.
Qualifications:
• Certification from a recognized fitness organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ISSA).
• CPR/AED certification required (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience working with both youth and adult clients, particularly in a fitness or sports training setting.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, exercise physiology, and injury prevention.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for fitness, health, and helping others achieve their goals.
• Ability to inspire and motivate clients of all ages.
Preferred:
• Experience working with special populations (e.g., older adults, youth athletes).
• Background in youth sports coaching or physical education.
