About the Position

We are looking for experienced engineers who understand AI systems, and are excited about becoming global leaders in a completely novel field. We need people that can work independently and collaboratively as part of a lean team.

As a Forward Deployed AI at Quotient AI, you will work closely with customers to deeply understand their AI problems and needs, and use your technical skills, creativity, and problem solving acumen to guide them to solutions with us.

What you’ll do:

• Work closely with customers to understand their business needs, architect, create, and present custom, reusable, LLM evaluation solutions using Quotient’s platform
• Create and present custom product demos that explain and emphasize our platform’s capabilities and features to prospective customers
• Build integrations and shared solutions with technology partners (e.g. Qdrant, MongoDB, Databricks, cloud providers like GCP, AWS, Azure etc.)
• Work closely with the engineering and operations teams, building new feature POCs, guiding product roadmap, and helping to meet company goals for product and commerciality
• Work with customers on their AI strategy and help them develop best practices for LLM evaluation as part of that strategy
• Create/update technical documentation
• Author technical blog posts and be willing to speak/evangelize about our product at conferences, on social media, and in other venues
• Balance trade-offs for performance and usability for our customers. We want our solutions to be easy to use, and for customers to get results fast.
• Adopt a ship to learn mindset: iterating, experimenting, and testing ideas to move us along our path to product-market fit.

Requirements:

• 5 years of full time industry engineering experience using tools like Python, AWS, or similar technologies
• Direct, hands-on experience with AI, machine learning, or data science
• You’re a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and open-ended technical challenges
• You can own projects end-to-end, and effectively collaborate with teammates
• You can balance building high quality, secure software with prioritizing company goals
• You’re a thoughtful communicator with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills who loves thinking on the fly

Nice to have (but not required):

• Experience working in a customer-facing technical role
• Experience working at an early stage startup
