What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior FP&A Partner position at QVC?

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director, FP&A, your primary responsibility is to have a broad understanding of our Business and use that knowledge to execute financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting. You will support the monthly forecasting cycle at QVC, conduct analysis, prepare various summaries of results, and complete reporting packages to be used across the organization. You will be responsible for partnering with our corporate IT team to make recommendations and provide insights.

Your Impact
- Collaborate with IT, other Finance Partners, Accounting, and the Data Insights team to understand requirements and analyze information.
- Partner with Chief Information Officer to ensure annual budget facilitates hardware and software needs for corporate IT.
- Initiate and drive budgeting and forecasting activities and deliverables for fixed IT costs
- Model, input of figures into the company’s forecasting, and prepare of reconciliations.
- Discover and solve data challenges - dissecting them with steady logical reasoning to quickly uncover insights based on a strong business understanding.
- Convey a story with data analysis to inform senior executives and assist with decision making.
- Proactively seek clarification of requirements and direction.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years experience preparing an annual budget for a corporate IT function.
- 5 years experience leading forecasts related to hardware and software procurement, and IT costs and revenue.
- 5 years working knowledge of IT Accounting and GAAP with an understanding of financial statements.
- 5 years experience with IT procurement contract review.
- 5 years experience with software capitalization.
- 5 years experience using Microsoft Excel to create efficient and sustainable models that can be used for ongoing analysis and forecasting.
- 5 years compiling and analyzing data from various sources; ability to leverage analytical work into result-oriented storytelling and actionable insights.
- 5 years experience using Anaplan, SAP, Business Objects, or MicroStrategy.
