Job Overview :
Under general supervision, the Systems Analyst codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains applications / programs based on specifications provided. Provides analysis and recommendations for client’s business needs. This Systems Analyst develops well-written recommendations, based on best business practices that provide alternatives, costs and time frames.
Experience Requirements :
Develops, enhances, installs, and tests computer software applications based on specifications.
Can write complex SQL queries.
Analyses and troubleshoots application problems working with technical staff and customers
Leads project team in small to medium size projects and coordinates team tasks with assistance of technical leads.
Analyses client’s business needs and provides recommendations for automated solutions.
Monitors client systems for performance and efficiency.
Communicates and interacts with customer contacts / liaison to increase efficiency and functionality of software applications.
Documents applications, technical specifications and user manuals.
Maintains current technology expertise.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience Preferences :
Four years of recent progressively responsible programming and systems analysis experience.
One year of experience must have included responsibility for project management and implementation.
Physical Requirements :
Mobility to work in typical office setting and use standard office equipment
Stamina to sit for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate
Education Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or closely related field
Education Preferences :
This is a senior level position that is staffed by personnel who have had sufficient educational background and / or experience to qualify them
