General Office Assistant/Bookkeeping for Construction Firm
Immediate opening
Small, relaxed, and friendly office setting
Weekdays, with flexible start/end times
Qualifications:
- Must have intermediate QuickBooks experience
- Experience in MS Office and proficient with Excel
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping/accounting principles
- Data Entry skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Reconciling daily bank and credit card activity
- Writing checks and recording in QuickBooks
- Processing payrolls
- Helps with month-end and year-end closings and work with external CPA on financial statement reporting and tax compliance
- Utilize Excel programs to perform duties and responsibilities
- Creating and processing lien waivers (notary is a plus)
- Invoices customers and applying customer payments.
- Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Researching and resolving payment discrepancies
- Producing weekly and monthly EEO and certified payroll reports
- Performing clerical duties such as answering phones, filing and copying, sending out email correspondence, sorting and distributing incoming mail, etc
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
