ABOUT THE ROLE
The Purchasing Assistant coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies, and purchases all inventory to meet production requirements by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily counting of materials on Tablet in Excel program
- Ordering materials through current software program (Deacom)
- Updating and maintaining Excel worksheets on a daily basis
- Will need good math skills due to counting and performing conversions on product orders
- Will assist with inventories
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- At least three years of work experience in purchasing and/or costing
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrate a good work ethic based on principles of honesty and integrity.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
