What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Custodial position at R C M INDUSTRIES INC?
JOB SUMMARY
The Custodian is responsible for the hygiene and cleanliness of the plants facilities.
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Essential Functions of Classification Industrial Custodial Job:
- Operate floor sweeping- scrubbing equipment (Zamboni) in plant production areas.
- Progressively clean drain ditches around each DCM cell.
- 6 months to a year painting experience
- Progressively clean under-pan areas of DCMs during shutdowns or die changes.
- Scrape packed grease from floor as needed in heavy traffic areas.
- Empty all local trash cans into main trash receptacle hoppers.
- Notify forklift drivers when time for plant trash receptacle hoppers are to be emptied into trash dumpsters outside.
- Manage waste drums produced from drain ditch cleaning and machine scraping by capping, labeling, and counting waste drum inventory.
- Break down cardboard for proper disposal.
- Assist maintenance in equipment cleaning during project repairs.
- Progressively clean truck dock areas, trash dumpster areas, and ramp areas outside, as needed.

- Must be able and willing to work required hours and overtime if necessary
