What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Development Scientist II position at R&D Partners?
R&D Partners is seeking to hire a Technical Development Scientist II in Hillsboro, OR.
Your main responsibilities as a Technical Development Scientist II:
· Perform transient transfections in CHO and HEK293 cells in scales 1mL to 25L to support pipeline productions adhering to established protocols
· Maintain seed train cell cultures in bioreactors and shake flasks
· Operate liquid handlers - Tecan and Hamilton for automated processes
· Operate wave bag reactors for productions and cell maintenance
· Maintain and troubleshoot key cell culture instruments such as Vi-Cell, Nova Flex2, Nova Flex, Cedex and bioreactors
What we are looking for in a Technical Development Scientist II:
· PhD (with 0-2yrs relevant experience) in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields
· Suspension adapted mammalian cell culture (CHO and/or HEK293)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have strong collaborative skills.
· State-of-the-art transient and stable protein expression experience
· Relevant bioreactor experience
