What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hem Seal Operator 3rd Shift: 10PM-6AM (Sun-Thur) position at R&E AUTOMATED SYSTEMS?
Overview
Apply a continuous bead of adhesive to the sheet of metal at a steady pace holding the gun at the right angle. Accuracy of the gun angle and consistent speed significantly to the quality of the application since an unstable movement can be seen in the final result. Must be able to work in a steady flow.
Responsibilities:
· Verify production equipment and material before executing startup utilizing Pre-Flight Check Lists and Work Instructions.
· Clean the equipment, and work area, when needed utilizing 5S Program.
· Manufacture product per the Work Instructions
· Ensure quality checks or validation methods are performed when required per work instructions
· Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements
· Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation
· Report unsafe activities to Production Manager.
· Ensure suspect product is identified and quarantined and treated as nonconforming product, until Quality can verify per Non-Conformance Process SP-203.
· Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
· Contribute to the achievement of Quality Objectives
Production Operator Requirements and Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Experience working in industrial production
· Forklift truck experience, preferred
· Must have attention to detail
· Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals
· Basic math, reading, and writing skills
· Basic computer skills
· Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines at all times
· Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching
· Able to operate large industrial machinery
