For almost 40 years, R.F. Technologies, Inc. (RFT) has been one of the largest independent suppliers of wireless drive-thru, surveillance, and audio equipment in the United States. With multiple strategically located service centers, RFT supports the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry—including brands like McDonald's, Burger King, and more—with installation, break-fix, and other field-related services. As we continue our rapid growth, we are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities and expand our market presence.
About the Role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for our line of products and services. The role will focus on expanding our presence in QSR, Fast Casual (e.g., Chipotle, Panera Bread, Five Guys), Casual Dining (e.g., Olive Garden, Chili’s), and select non-franchised businesses (e.g., Portillo’s).
This is an on-site position at our Buffalo Grove, IL office, reporting directly to the Founder/CEO and President.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a growth strategy focused on increasing revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Secure product approvals for RFT solutions from corporate entities.
- Identify and develop new client relationships through referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
- Create and implement sales action plans and strategies to expand market share.
- Generate and maintain sales and promotional materials.
- Make sales calls and presentations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients.
- Develop comprehensive sales proposals and drive the end-to-end sales process.
- Track and report on sales activities, ensuring proactive follow-ups.
- Participate in trade shows and sales events (some travel required).
- Making cold calls and customer visits.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and product advancements.
- Gain technical expertise in product applications, features, and competitive advantages.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, customer service best practices, and B2B selling.
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in developing and delivering impactful sales presentations.
- Valid driver’s license and state minimum vehicle insurance; travel required for sales calls and trade shows.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
