About the Role
Our client, a large government agency in the NYC metro area, is seeking a skilled Software Development Project Manager to drive software development initiatives that support major infrastructure programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development methodologies, extensive experience managing large-scale technology development projects, and exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities
- Define project scope and deliverables across multiple software application development projects
- Develop comprehensive project plans including tasks, timelines, and resources needed
- Lead cross-functional teams of developers, analysts, program managers, and government agency stakeholders across the project lifecycle
- Partner with software engineering leaders to ensure technical specifications are met and engineering teams understand expectations and deliverables
- Identify potential project risks and mitigation strategies to ensure project success
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams and other stakeholders
- Oversee quality assurance procedures to ensure software applications meet requirements for performance and safety
- D evelop and manage budgets to ensure efficient use of resources through all phases of each project
