Key responsibilities of a supply chain clerk may include:
Inventory Management:
· Receiving and verifying incoming shipments
· Entering inventory data into the system
· Maintaining accurate stock levels by monitoring inventory reports
· Rotating stock to ensure proper product rotation
Order Processing:
· Processing purchase orders from internal departments
· Communicating with suppliers regarding order status and delivery schedules
· Resolving any discrepancies with orders received
Shipment Tracking:
· Coordinating logistics and tracking shipments from suppliers to the warehouse
· Updating shipment tracking information in the system
· Communicating delivery updates to internal stakeholders
Record Keeping:
· Maintaining detailed records of inventory transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts
· Generating reports on inventory levels and supply chain performance
Communication and Collaboration:
· Collaborating with other departments like sales, production, and customer service to ensure timely fulfillment of orders
