Supply Chain Clerk

Description: A supply chain clerk is responsible for managing inventory levels, maintaining accurate records of supply chain activities like purchase orders and invoices, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, and ensuring timely delivery of goods by monitoring stock availability and resolving any supply chain issues that may arise; essentially acting as the administrative support for the movement of goods within a company's supply chain.

Key responsibilities of a supply chain clerk may include:

Inventory Management:

· Receiving and verifying incoming shipments

· Entering inventory data into the system

· Maintaining accurate stock levels by monitoring inventory reports

· Rotating stock to ensure proper product rotation

Order Processing:

· Processing purchase orders from internal departments

· Communicating with suppliers regarding order status and delivery schedules

· Resolving any discrepancies with orders received

Shipment Tracking:

· Coordinating logistics and tracking shipments from suppliers to the warehouse

· Updating shipment tracking information in the system

· Communicating delivery updates to internal stakeholders

Record Keeping:

· Maintaining detailed records of inventory transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts

· Generating reports on inventory levels and supply chain performance

Communication and Collaboration:

· Collaborating with other departments like sales, production, and customer service to ensure timely fulfillment of orders

· Communicating with suppliers to address any issues related to deliveries or product quality

Required skills for a supply chain clerk:

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

· Proficiency in inventory management systems and computer applications

· Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Good communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with suppliers and internal teams

· Basic understanding of supply chain principles and logistics

· Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is preferred

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
