What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Foreman-Construction Services position at R.H. White Construction?
Building Foreman Position Summary:
Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in construction, installation and repair of structures and fixtures during regular and emergency hours.
Hiring Requirement/Preferences for Building Foreman:
- Must be able to respond to emergency calls as needed (24/7)
- High school diploma or equivalent and additional specialized training equal to a master craft designation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building construction trades.
- Appropriate journeyman experience required.
- Work within precise standard of accuracy.
- Rate information using standards which can be measured or checked.
- Ability to review flat drawings or pictures and understand how they will look as solid objects.
- Follow oral and written directions, plans and blueprints.
- Physically, working foremen must be able to see well (either naturally or with correction); coordinate the movement of eyes, hands and fingers; use hands, arms and fingers fully; climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or work at heights; lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds or more.
- Must possess a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
- OSHA 10 (have or ability to obtain)
- Be capable of obtaining various certificates and licenses required within the industry.
