R&K supports Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) Airspace, Ranges, and Airfield Operations Division (A3A) by providing technical, logistical, and operational support to ACC airfields, special use airspace, and ranges. Resources and Budget Division (A3R) provides financial support; fiscal guidance; professional development; civilian manpower; and planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) for the Operations Directorate (A3). International Affairs Security Cooperation (IAS) supports Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to include foreign military participation in United States hosted exercises.

R&K is seeking a Full-time Range Safety Support and Project Lead to support ACC/A3A Ranges staff.

Title: Range Safety Support & Project Lead

Location: Langley AFB, VA

Duration: Permanent/Full-Time

Clearance: Secret Clearance Required

Start Date: Upon Approval

Duties: Include but are not limited to: 

• Providing support to ACC Ranges staff in the development of documentation and implementation of range safety policy and guidance for weapons (live and inert), lasers, training aids, and ground safety IAW applicable AFIs/AFMANs and other Department of Defense (DoD)/Air Force (AF) safety regulations.

• Gathering data and develop input for environmental reporting of munitions usage and disposal on ranges.

• Assisting in the development of Government plans and procedures to execute range munitions and target clearance operations capabilities IAW applicable AFIs/AFMANs and other DoD/AF safety regulations.

• Assisting in developing plans, programs, and formal budget reports for future safety requirements.

• Assisting in the development and implementation of range safety policies, briefings, procedures, and support agreements with other MAJCOMs, sister services, allied forces, and civil authorities.

The successful candidate will also be the R&K Project Lead for this task order.  Additional duties include:

• Coordinating with the government technical lead and contracting officer representative (COR), maintaining a list of current employees for the R&K team, and managing administrative tasks such as; required Travel Authorization Requests, Trip Reports, Travel Expense Reports, and Monthly Status and Financial Reports. The project lead will work with R&K leadership to ensure successful execution of the task order execution.

Requirements: The candidate shall meet the following qualifications: 

• 3 Years’ minimum – Rated operations experience (11, 12, 13B, or previous 17XX Air Weapons Controller/Air Battle Manager) or experience as 1SO or 3E8 Senior Noncommissioned Officer (SNCO) or GS equivalent
• 2 Years’ minimum – Wing level or higher staff experience
• Project Management experience is highly desired
• PMP, CAPM, or similar Project Management certification is highly desired
• Must possess a Secret clearance
