What are the responsibilities and job description for the Range Safety Officer position at Superior Guns and Range?
We are seeking a Range Safety Officer to become a part of our team. This is a part time position. The selected individual will monitor the firearm range, assist and ensure the safety of all range patrons, maintain the daily range operations and repairs, and ring up sales associated with the range.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist range patrons as needed to ensure a pleasant shooting experience.
- Ring up guests for range time, ammo, and other items they might need for the range.
- Monitor range patrons to ensure safety and the following of rules and policies.
- Make range patrons aware if they are violating a rule or policy.
- Maintain the appearance and operation of the range including necessary repairs.
- Clean and complete basic repairs on range guns.
Qualifications
- Firearm safety experience required. Certification preferred.
- Be able to convey that knowledge to range patrons to ensure proper and safe firearm handling.
- Personable and sociable with strong verbal communication skills.
- Mechanical experience. Armorer experience a plus.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Basic computer knowledge necessary.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Flexible availability. Hours of operation may include Monday- Saturday 9:30 am -6:30 pm. There will be potential for some Sundays and evenings for certain range responsibilities.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must be clean shaven, and remain so in order to follow safety guidelines.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be punctual. Adherence to the schedule is paramount to run our business.
We offer weekly pay with direct deposit.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 22 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
