Systems Architect - Remote

• Defines computer system & storage architecture standards and best practices 
• Collaborates with infrastructure, security and application teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable computer system & storage architectures
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Collaborates with security and compliance teams to ensure the protection and integrity of systems and data
• Stays up-to-date on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in infrastructure architecture and recommends innovative solutions.
• Maintain Infrastructure Systems Roadmap
• Conducts Regular Vendor Communication to build relationships, monitor vendor performance and understand vendor roadmaps
• Support Long Range Planning and Budgeting Activities
• Perform Vendor and Product Selection in a collaborative manner
• Administer Infrastructure Technology Pilots & Proof of Concept Initiatives
• Prepare Infrastructure Funding Requests 
• Ensure alignment of Infrastructure Systems Architecture with Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Goals
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for potential technology investments
• Planning capacity and performance requirements
• Optimizing system performance and resource utilization
• Implementing data protection and disaster recovery strategies
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Experience and Education:

• 5 years of experience in an IT infrastructure systems architecture or a similar role
• Extensive experience in IT infrastructure and storage technologies
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, cloud computing, and data center operations
• Proven experience defining systems architecture standards for large-scale enterprises 
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Any relevant industry or technology certifications a plus
