What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Field Support Manager position at R+L Carriers?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate IT field support operations to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery across all enterprise locations.
- Oversee planning, installation, repair, and maintenance activities for all IT field-deployed systems.
- Manage schedules for IT field support staff, ensuring prompt work completion and providing necessary resources at all facilities.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering teams to ensure seamless system integrations and the effective use of services and tools.
- Evaluate IT field system operations, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Ensure all IT field operations and procedures comply with company standards and best practices.
- Support the creation, development, and implementation of employee training programs.
- Document procedures and processes using R L standards for process documentation.
- Understanding and adhering to R L vendor standards and processes
Preferred Qualifications/Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in IT field support or a similar support role.
- Experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
- Relevant industry or technology certifications are advantageous.
Required Qualifications/Education/Experience:
- Proven experience managing IT field support for large-scale enterprises.
- Strong understanding of building construction projects involving IT infrastructure
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong vendor relationship skills, project bidding, statements of work.
