Job Overview
R L Carriers is seeking a skilled professional to lead our Service Center operations in Oxford, MA. This individual will oversee all aspects of the service center, ensuring efficient and effective management of customer interactions, sales, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Performance: Manage financial aspects of the service center to achieve profitable results, including revenue attainment, cost control, and yield improvement.
- Leadership and Development: Lead, educate, and develop employees to enhance their skills and performance.
- Customer Interaction: Assist account managers in identifying, acquiring, and retaining customers, while providing excellent customer service.
- Safety and Security: Prepare and manage safety, security, and loss prevention procedures according to Company, OSHA, and DOT guidelines.
- Operational Efficiency: Implement action plans to ensure planned productivity and service goals are achieved.
- Reporting and Compliance: Submit various financial and operational reports as directed, while interpreting and enforcing Service Center Work Instructions and Company policies.
Requirements
This role requires proven leadership experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and thorough knowledge of LTL Industry, DOT Rules and Regulations, OSHA Laws, Hazardous Materials Regulations, NMFC and Tariff Rules, and company policies and procedures.
A strong organizational, communication, and logistical skillset is essential, along with solid problem-solving abilities and computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office products.
