What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Manager position at R&R LLC?
The Cadillac Products Automotive Company (CPAC)pPlant in Rogers City needs an HR Manager to join the team this year!
This specific plant has about 70 employees (50 production 20 office staff) working across 3 shifts, 5 days/week in our 80,000 sq ft facility. The schedule for this role will be about 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This is a full-time, salaried W2 position that qualifies for our full benefits.
The CPAC main office is located in Troy, MI, but this role will be working onsite at the Rogers City facility. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager of the Rogers City plant.

Things our HR Manager will be responsible for:
- Safety, Compliance, Trainings
- Legal compliance with Federal, State and Local laws and regulations related to Employment Law
- Recruiting & Interviewing for open positions in the plant
- Pre-hire screenings
- New Hire onboarding
- Employee relations
- Union Contract - oversight, interpretation, grievance mitigation process
- Anniversaries, Retirements
- Assisting department managers with and documentation of employee disciplinary actions, terminations, offboarding
- Payroll administration
- Scheduling assistance
- Timekeeping system
- Benefits enrollment & deductions setup/monitoring
- Union Dues
- Unemployment reporting
- Records and reports as required by Finance and Legal teams
- Audit assistance
- Management of HR Department
- Training any new HR team members
- Manage HR team's daily workload and priorities
- Conduct performance reviews of HR team members
- Backup Receptionist Duties when needed
Qualifications we are looking for:
- Degree, Certificates, or at least a few years of full-time HR Experience
- Management or Department Leadership experience preferred
- Tested knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Proficiency with HRIS software administration and daily usage
- Specifically looking for experience with:
- Handling of formal grievance processes
- Navigating Union relations and dynamics
- HR administration within both:
- Manufacturing environments Professional office settings
