This position loads / unloads freight with forklift, pallet jack or by hand, depending on the size of freight, in a safe and efficient manner.

This position loads / unloads freight with forklift, pallet jack or by hand, depending on the size of freight, in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock and around stockroom.
- Ensure all safety equipment and devices are in place and working properly.
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
- Responsible for unloading inbounds, warehousing materials, supplying production lines and loading outbound shipments in a quick and efficient manner.
- Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse safety procedures.
- Wear appropriate shoes for the workplace, and work in a safe manner at all times
- Use computer equipment (iPad) and/or scanner to perform transactions related to the physical movement of materials or product.
- Other duties as assigned
- Pays close attention to detail.
- Works well with a team and manages time efficiently.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum 2 years of prior forklift operation experience.
- Forklift certification is required.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, and squat for duration of shift
- Must have ability to grasp, push and pull with hands for duration of shift
- Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations
- Ability to store and remove pallets in racking up to 27 feet high safely
- Required to occasionally climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
- Required to frequently bend and twist neck and waist
- Ability to endure extreme temperatures and humidity
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
