Position Title:
Cost Accountant

Position Summary:
The Hanline Group is seeking a Cost Accountant to work in our Shelby, OH location. This individual will be working closely with production across 3 companies within the Hanline Group.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain standards for product, supplies & labor in the ERP system
- Work with operations management in KPI development, analysis, and compliance
- Review daily reporting from operations for accuracy
- Periodic reviews of Bill of materials with management
- Special projects, make vs buy, and software implementation assistance
- Monitor inventory and oversee monthly physical inventory counts
- Prepare and report on the operations labor variance weekly
- Performs detailed analysis on inventory costs to assist in the development of standard costs and understanding of inventory
- Partners closely with the Business Unit Controller to monitor key financial performance indicators and makes recommendations to improve performance
- Work with sales on new product costs and quotes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Minimum 2 years ERP/WMS Experience
- Minimum 5 years using Excel
- Minimum of 2 years working in a similar role within a manufacturing/warehouse setting
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and practices, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Must be a self-motivated, pro-active individual who can handle working in a fast past environment, willing to challenge the Status Quo and constantly strive to reduce inefficiencies and improve the overall process.
