The Supply Chain Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing inventory, procurement, and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless flow of goods and materials, maintain optimal stock levels, and support strategic decision-making through accurate demand forecasting and efficient purchasing strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory records and efficient stock handling.
• Source and purchase materials, products, and services in line with company needs and budget constraints.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
• Analyze historical data, market trends, and sales projections to create accurate demand forecasts.
• Work closely with sales, production, finance, and operations teams to align forecasts with business objectives.
• Identify potential risks or disruptions in the supply chain and develop contingency plans.
• Continuously evaluate supply chain processes and propose enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive decision-making.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to integrate innovative solutions into supply chain operations.
• Partner with production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on inventory optimization and procurement strategies.
• Support budget planning by providing accurate forecasts and inventory reports.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or demand forecasting.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong background in Microsoft Excel
Desired Qualifications
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP).
• Experience with inventory optimization tools or forecasting software.
• Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
• Pharmaceutical distribution, sales, or supply knowledge helpful.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Must be able to travel as required with the ability to sit and stand for extended periods. Work environment is usually performed in a home, office or customer setting. Lift and carry computer equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires use of a computer, copier, fax, phone and other standard office equipment. Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment. Body motor skills sufficient to move from one location to another.
Travel
Must be willing to travel assigned geography which will include daily and some overnight travel up to 10%
