Role Summary:
Join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Lead, overseeing the efficient management and maintenance of our cold storage facility. Ensure our HVAC and refrigeration systems run safely and smoothly, upholding the highest operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Train and mentor team members.
- Equipment Management:Ensure safe operation of refrigeration, material handling equipment, and security/fire systems.
- Preventive Maintenance:Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records.
- Collaboration:Support company goals by coordinating with other departments.
- Customer Service:Maintain effective communication with vendors and customers.
- Work Orders:Manage general repairs and maintenance.
- Vendor Coordination:Schedule and manage outside maintenance vendors.
- Budget Management:Assist in controlling maintenance expenses.
- Safety Promotion: Encourage a safe work environment and participate in safety investigations.
- Team Management:Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training of maintenance team members.
- Payroll Monitoring:Manage departmental payroll and PTO requests.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical education preferred.
- Experience in HVAC/refrigeration, lift truck maintenance, and 3-phase electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of EPA and OSHA policies.
- Strong prioritization and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong math skills.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficient with job-related equipment (e.g., computers, forklifts).
Physical Demands:
- Lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and squatting.
- Work in fluctuating temperatures, including freezing conditions.
- Minimal travel required.
Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000
