The Senior Technical Program Manager is responsible for leading pivotal technical programs within our Technology Team. This role demands a strategic thinker with robust experience in program management and a knack for steering cross-functional teams toward success. The TPM will be the primary program manager within the XA Technology team and looked upon as a leader, bringing more communication and predictability within our delivered technology stack. Within the Technology team, there are three programs the TPM will manage:
- Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement
- New XA Client Onboarding

Essential Job Duties
- Strategic Program Leadership: Spearhead the planning and execution of intricate technical programs, aligning them with our strategic business objectives
- Operational Excellence: Drive the operational aspects of product development, ensuring top-tier quality and efficiency that meet customer expectations
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to define program goals and deliverables that propel business objectives
- Organize and facilitate Program planning sessions, ensuring alignment between teams and business objectives.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and other stakeholders to define clear objectives and deliverables.
- Monitor progress during the sprint cycle, track dependencies, and address risks and impediments.
- Support teams in maintaining alignment with the overall roadmap and program vision.
- Act as a liaison between teams, business leaders, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Foster a culture of transparency and accountability by promoting visibility into team progress and program health.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the project planning process to enhance efficiency and team engagement.
- Track and report on PI progress, ensuring KPIs and objectives are met.
- Prepare and present program updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage third party vendors used as either strategic outsource partners or tactical offshore developers from contractual agreements through resourcing and execution
- Strong, clear and concise documentation and communication skills with broad range of technical/non-technical resources, internal/external audiences, and all levels of the organization
Basic Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or higher degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years in technical program management within software and product management, including 5 years in a leadership role managing diverse teams
- Proven experience in facilitating PI Planning and managing Agile Release Trains.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and Agile tools (Jira, Rally, etc.).
- Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), or equivalent certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or master's degree in a technology related field
- 5 years of experience driving technology programs and/or projects
